Biocorpora is delivered with different levels of functionality. It contains the ideal tools from single project management up to enterprise-wide research informatics.
Common foundations
The foundations and robustness are identical for all levels. What changes is the breadth of functionalities: browsing only or browsing and registration, ability to customize the registration and posting procedures and the data reports.
You can start with Biocorpora NBE and, when the need arises, you can extend to Biocorpora - Enterprise Repository with no migration, no re-installation and no change to the web interface.
Biocorpora NBE, Biocorpora NCE
These are the starter versions of Biocorpora that contains all the tools required to register, store, search and retrieve your scientific data in a simple way. It supports the registration of either NBE (Biocorpora NBE) or NCE (Biocorpora NCE), and the posting of associated biological data. Each reporting system has been designed to fit the most common needs in its field: protein discovery, monoclonal antibodies, and small molecule. You can define as many assays or characterizations tests as you wish.
It ships as a pre-configured Oracle instance, or as a pre-installed virtual machine. You can deploy the application and start using it within a few hours.
Biocorpora - Enterprise Browser
If you already store your scientific data in a corporate repository, Biocorpora - Enterprise Browser is the ideal tool to simply spread this data to your scientists. It is a web-based interface and requires little or no installation and maintenance on the user's desk. You can quickly share all the data with your collaborators, even in multi-site configurations.
It supports natively all kind of entities: NBE and NCE. You can browse in the same interface proteins, monoclonal antibodies, and small molecules etc.
You can manage projects, manage access rights to substances, biological data. You and your scientists are able to create custom reports to display, aggregate and pivot the data, the way you need it.
Upon request, drugdesigntech can also perform report customization according to your specifications.
Biocorpora - Enterprise Repository
Enterprise Repository contains the same browsing capability than Enterprise Browser.
It adds all the registration and posting capabilities available in Biocorpora NBE and Biocorpora NCE. drugdesigntech can customize the registration procedure to match your business rules: eg mandatory fields, definition of parent substance, duplicate search, separate registration queues for NCE and NBE...
The posting procedures can be customized to support the posting of internal and external reports.
Biocorpora on the Cloud
Biocorpora NBE, Biocorpora NCE and Biocorpora - Enterprise Repository are available as Software as a Service. The application and the database are hosted in a professional datacenter. The server is managed by drugdesigntech and we install and maintain the hardward and software components for you.
